Scott has lived in Leakesville, MS for majority of his life. He was saved at 19 years old in a Sunday school room at Pilgrim’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church. He surrendered to the call to preach in June 2015 under Bro. Charlie McNeil at Sweetwater Missionary Baptist Church. He had the honor to serve the Lord as pastor of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Creek, MS for two years. Since his resignation in 2019, he joined Canaan Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Jason Howard. While a member at Canaan, he has been active with helping Bro. Jason with Canaan Land Baptist Mission. He has also been supply preaching where needed throughout Mississippi. He and his wife, Susan, were married in September 2006. They have three children Zane, Jase, and Everli.
“The Lord has blessed us tremendously, and we are excited about serving. My main goal in the ministry is to follow God’s will. My family and I take serving the Lord very seriously, and we do not take the responsibilities He gives us lightly. Our goal is to reach out into the community with a burden to win the lost, disciple the saved, and hold fast to the doctrines and teachings of Christ to further the Kingdom of God, as well as, serve the surrounding community as needed. I enjoy serving the Lord and look forward to this new opportunity.”
Scott has been endorsed and recommended by Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. He is currently serving as a full-time Missionary Pastor of Canaan Land Baptist Missions in Buckatunna, MS. Please pray for this new missionary family as they adjust to the challenges ahead.
