Each year after Thanksgiving, we put up a Christmas tree in the foyer of the church building. The purpose of the tree is not decoration but to hold paper angels. Each angel has the information of a child in our area. We take a name and buy gifts for these kids, who otherwise wouldn't get much. We buy them things they need and things they want. In some cases, we put together baskets with everything needed for a Christmas meal.
We are able to be a blessing to these families. We are able to show them that Redemption Church loves them, but more than that, God loves them. I'm thankful for the angels that hang on that tree. Each one represents a child we are able to impact in some way.
